Bruce Thompson Insurance donates $5,000 to local high school.

In today’s tough economic times, everyone is feeling the affects of less money.  One area is local sports teams.
With less money to spend, local teams are finding it tougher to get the much needed support to keep these beneficial programs going.

Local Allstate agent Bruce Thompson, saw the need and has stepped in to help the Cass High Baseball Team.

“God has blessed me, and I want to be a blessing back to this community.” Thompson stated.

This past Friday, Bruce presented another $5,000 to the Cass High Baseball team for the construction of batting cages to assist the baseball program.

With this $5,000 check, the Bruce Thompson Allstate Insurance Group has invested $10,000 into the baseball program at Cass High.  While this was a sacrifice for a small business in these times, Thompson believes he is making a sound investment.

“Investing in the future of Bartow County is one that tough economic times can’t stand in the way of.” Thompson said.

In addition to the financial donation, Thompson has also volunteered time in helping conduct mock interviews with students as well as working with Superintendent John Harper on ways to develop strong student leaders in all Bartow County Schools.  For Thompson, “Caring for our customers and our Community” is not just a motto, it’s a lifestyle that is lived out by him and his team.

Fall is in the air in Bartow County.  With fall comes Football and back to school.  What better way to help out the community than to combine the two. That's just what Bruce Thompson Insurance Group is doing.  In it's Inaugural year, Bruce Thompson Insurance Group has launched the Tiger Kick and the Colonel kick benefiting the Adairsville High and Cass High Athletic Booster Clubs.   At select games, the team from Bruce Thompson Insurance Group is selling raffle tickets for $1 each with all the proceeds going back to the Booster Clubs.  During halftime, a male and female winner are drawn and given a chance to kick a field goal for a chance to win a $75 Visa Gift card.

The highlight of this program will be a selected night that 1 lucky contestant will have a chance to kick a field goal and win a brand new 2012 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.   So why do such an event? "We wanted to think of a new and exciting way to care for our community; and what better way then providing a program in which the schools determine how much they raise while getting the whole Friday night football crowd involved."-states Bruce Thompson.

With the football season in full swing now, we invite everyone to keep an eye out for the Bruce Thompson Allstate tent and stop by and support the local booster programs while having fun in the process.  Caring for our Customers and our Community, it's what we do at Bruce Thompson Insurance Group.

It was a great weekend this past weekend at the Big Boy Toys Expo.  Being next to our friends at Harley Davidson of Cartersville was an added bonus.  Whether it was watching the Roller Derby girls from Rome or meeting many of the people that came by our booth, it was a good time had by all.  I want to personally thank everyone who came by and took a spin on our wheel.
